Four Day Weekend

Today is the last day of Matt's four day weekend. He had Friday off due to the threat of snow. We saw wet snow that melted before it even touched the ground for around thirty minutes. Nonetheless, Matt was grateful for the day off. Unfortunately his break coincided with Scarlett's virus. Early Friday morning her fever spiked to 104. We were a little freaked out as she's never had a fever so high before. My dad assures us the next time won't concern us so much. She's been feeling much better for the past few days.

We've spent the majority of our time holed up in the house, which is fine by me. Much to Matt's chagrin, we've been watching the Olympics. He was a trooper last night and sat through Figure Skating without complaint. Don't feel too bad for him though. We recently bought a PlayStation 3 and he's had plenty of "me time" playing hockey.

So far, my experimentation with bread has been a success. I've made cracked whole wheat which was pretty tasty.

Scarlett's new word of the day in Catchie(emphasis on the atchie) which is her way of saying Ketchup. Ketchup is one of her favorites. If she's having trouble finishing a food, we just squirt some Catchie on it and miraculously, she eats it. It grosses us out a little, but whatever works.
