2nd Birthday

Today is Scarlett's 2nd Birthday. Where has the time gone??? We had a little party for her on Saturday to celebrate. Matt smoked his famous ribs, grilled burgers and brats, and I made German potato salad, cake and some other goodies. It was a great time with great friends. My dad also came up to celebrate.

Jeff and Marina's Wedding

Our family celebrated my uncle's wedding over Memorial Day weekend. We drove down to the Sarasota area and stayed with my dad and sister. It was wonderful seeing all of that side of our family. It had been a while since we'd all been together. Congratulations Jeff and Marina!

Playdate

Today Scarlett had a wonderful playdate with her friend Leon. Leon, who just turned two, and his parents are from Germany. His father is in Navigator Training here in Pensacola. The kids had a great time playing while Leon's mom Natalia and I chatted as best we could given the language barrier. Yay for English to German online translators, pointing, and pantomiming.
